    Join us for a celebration of the amazing ecosystem that covers 70 percent of our planet. You’ll learn about the treasures of the ocean, the threats it faces and what we can do to keep it healthy. World Oceans Day is an international observance that’s recognized by the United Nations and commemorated at aquariums, zoos, schools and conservation organizations across the globe. This year, we’ll also celebrate with Dr. Seuss’s classic children’s book, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Throughout the weekend, you’ll enjoy special programming and activities as part of your regular Aquarium admission, including:

    Live musical performances
    Readings of Dr. Seuss’s beloved book, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish
    Special kids’ activities throughout the day
    Family craft room where kids can make and decorate their own craft Saturday and Sunday, from 12 to 4 p.m. (while supplies last)
    Sustainable cooking demonstration with Becky Selengut, author of Good Fish: Sustainable Seafood Recipes from the Pacific Coast
    Special animal feeding shows
    Information booths hosted by ocean conservation organizations
    Bilingual (English and Spanish) programs including a sea otter feeding and training session, Kelp Forest feeding show and penguin training and feeding session (Sunday only)
