Ocean Woodworks is a trusted source for a wide array of custom building projects and maintains a very high level of professionalism and ethics. The firm uses hand-selected woods from the USA and abroad, state of the art hardware and other specialized materials. Ocean Woodworks manufactures high quality custom cabinetry, original styled interior and exterior passage doors, windows, moldings, real and faux beam work, restorations, and hand-crafted furniture that is built to last and increases home values. It also specializes in historical replication windows and doors.

According to Deven Finnie who has over 30 years of experience in woodworking and custom home building, “We take pride in integrating old world techniques in our 21st century projects, when appropriate, using products primarily from the United States. When creating exterior products (i.e. windows, exterior doors, cabinetry, etc.), it’s very important to think like a rain drop and make sure the direction flow of moisture is away from the home increasing its longevity and weather resistance properties. We also create what we like to call ‘the strongest joint on the planet’ utilizing the mortise and tenon method developed thousands of years ago before adhesives existed and also use the locking mitre system, when appropriate. Off the shelf cabinetry, door and window products often have weak, particle board construction that does not last and can delaminate, swell with moisture, and quickly deteriorate.”

He adds, “If our client can dream it up, we can create it for them. We also work with architectural or design plans, or we often conceive and draw a 3D rendering to demonstrate the possible pieces that can be created. Ocean Woodworks specializes in innovative design, creative details, and exceptional execution. Regardless of the client’s style or taste preference, Ocean Woodworks offers an array of techniques to accommodate its clients’ needs, including a wide range of textures and finish possibilities.”

Ocean Woodworks is a division of Ocean Construction (founded in 1998).
