Arts Habitat will present Peter Hiller, artist, Jo Mora Trust curator, and art educator at Arts in Progress (AIP) on Tuesday, February 26, in a presentation entitled, "Creating, Teaching and Curating. Wandering Along the Course of a Life in the Visual Arts." AIP takes place the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. This month AIP moves to a new venue, the Museum of Monterey , 5 Customs House Plaza, Monterey. The event is open to the public, the admission fee is $5 and complimentary refreshments are served. The first and last half hours are devoted to socializing and community building. From staring at pottery as a young child, to reflecting on how trimming trees and working in a liquor store led to a fine arts teaching credential, Peter Hiller has been involved in the visual arts for most of his 61 years. Beginning in Evanston, Illinois, growing up in West Los Angeles and now living in paradise on the Monterey Peninsula, Peter has learned something from everywhere he has been, particularly how amazing it is to be making a living on the Central Coast.

The evenings presentation will highlight his life experiences with primary source material. Share in uncovering his influences, his curiosity and his chutzpah as he traces his life in the arts to this point.
