On Saturday, May 4th, 2013 the SCEEF is excited to hold their annual fundraiser at the Amaral Barn in Salinas, California. This is our largest fundraiser of the year! All monies collected at this fantastic event go directly to the students and our specific mission. Today we often read in local papers and hear on the news, the grim reality that public school funding is being stretched more and more and does not begin to meet the academic needs of our children. Classroom sizes continue to rise and critical program areas in music, arts and technology are often the first to be eliminated despite the proven fact that music and art exposure directly lead to student self esteem and higher performance in the classroom, and in our local community. Come and join us! Some of this year's highlights include: music by Lefty & the Educators, live art by renowned muralist: Jose Ortiz, strolling dinner of Mexican inspired cuisine by chef Ron Benedetti, mariachis, folklorico dancers, live auction, raffle, valet parking and much, much more!!!! Tickets are only $75 p/person and include food & drinks
