The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) is proud to present its upcoming exhibition, Next Generation, opening on March 14th. This photographic exhibition was curated by Rachael Short and spotlights the work of three local emerging artists: Kodiak Greenwood, Michelle Magdalena, and Zach Weston. Kodiak Greenwood is inspired by the rugged beauty of the Big Sur coast that has been his home since birth. Michelle Magdalena’s images emanate femininity derived from the natural form. Zach Weston continues in the classic tradition of his father Kim, grandfather Cole, and great-grandfather Edward Weston, creating soulfully composed images and meticulously crafted prints. All three young artists still prefer to use film and create their elegant images in a traditional darkroom. The land and sea are ever-stirring muses and the innate beauty of the female body is timeless.

A special catalog has been created for this exhibition and will be on sale at the CPA while the supply lasts. Additionally, raffle tickets for a chance to win a print by one of these artists will be sold throughout the exhibition run.

The public is invited to a panel discussion with the artists on March 14th from 4 to 5pm in Carpenter Hall in Sunset Center, followed by an opening reception of the exhibition from 5-7pm in the CPA gallery located in the Sunset Center.

CPA is located at San Carlos and 9th Avenue in the Sunset Center, Carmel, CA
