Pebble Beach Food & Wine was co-founded by Rob Weakley and David Bernahl II when they decided to fill in the vacancy of the departure of the Masters of Food & Wine previously held at the Park Hyatt Highlands Inn in Carmel. Pebble Beach Food & Wine, now recognized as one of the best culinary events in the country, celebrates more than 70 celebrity chefs and 250 wineries in a four-day annual event that attracts more than 5500 attendees from around the world. The event fills more than 2500 room nights on the peninsula each year during a weekend that has been notoriously lackluster.. the weekend after Easter.

Their company, Coastal Luxury Management, also produces Harvest: Farm-to-Table, a 4000 person, two-day, family-friendly event that organizes more than 100 wineries and 50 regional chefs to celebrate agriculture and viticulture at the Quail Lodge in sunny Carmel Valley. CLM also manages the American Institute of Wine & Food nationally and produces national lifestyle events for Lexus.

CLM is launching two new restaurants this summer. The company recently purchased the historic Stokes Adobe building and will open Restaurant 1833 sometime in June. The 200 plus seat restaurant is aptly named after the year the building was built and will be employing almost 50 new hospitality associates when it opens. In addition, CLM will be opening Cannery Row Brewing Company in the old Willy’s Smokehouse building on Cannery Row. With 70 beers on tap, it will have more than any other restaurant in Northern California. The restaurant will be employing approximately 50 new hospitality associates this summer.

Coastal Luxury Management recently partnered with Dick Clark Productions and will be launching new culinary events around the country in 2011 in addition to creating culinary television content for major networks.
