Arts Council for Monterey County

The Mission of The Arts Council for Monterey County is to improve the quality of life in our region through the arts. Our programs nurture and promote access, participation and excellence in all arts disciplines. The Arts Council provides arts education to thousands of students each year thanks to support from local PTAs, foundations, businesses and individuals. We provide promotional, technical and financial support to over fifty arts organizations thanks to funding from the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

	Tell-a-friend Monterey County Business Council A membership only organization, the Monterey County Business Council is a 501(c)(6), comprised of professionals from business, government, and education working together on countywide issues. Founded in 1995, the non-profit corporation seeks to promote the concept of private-public partnerships by bringing business experience and techniques to the public arena.
	Tell-a-friend Sand City Arts Committee  The Art Committee was formed by the City Council to guide and encourage the growing artist community within Sand City. The primary function has been the organization and management of the annual West End Event.
	Tell-a-friend United Nations Association, Monterey Bay Chapter The purpose of the Monterey Bay Chapter of the United Nations Association is to educate our community about critical world issues, and to build understanding and support for the ideals and vital work of the United Nations and its agencies. We present six major community events each year, and work with student groups at local middle schools, high schools, colleges and graduate schools. UNA-USA and its chapters take policy positions on issues related to the United Nations and US-UN relations and then mobilize support for those policy positions, including contacting appropriate government officials.
	Tell-a-friend Monterey County Artist Studio Tour We are a county wide Artist Studio tour. We carry a map of artwork that show you how to get to the Artist location.
	Tell-a-friend The Marina Foundation MISSION The mission of The Marina Foundation is to give scholarships and/or grants to deserving Marina residents, to support education programs that benefit Marina students, and to support financially those organizations and events that benefit the community. OBJECTIVE Our objective is to give annual financial grants and/or scholarships to Marina residents for the purposes of continuing their pursuit of education and/or furthering their knowledge and participation in extracurricular activities including music, arts or sports.
